1About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and OneFive Labs, the maker of Pawtine. By creating an account or using Pawtine, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data, and it forms part of these terms.

2Who can use Pawtine

• You must be 16 or older.
• To buy a plan, you must be old enough to make a contract where you live.
• You sign in with Apple or Google, so keep that account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in Pawtine under your account.

3Households, members and sitters

• The person who creates a household is its owner. Owners can invite people, create sitter links and remove members.
• Everyone in a household can see and change its pets, tasks and records, so only invite people you trust.
• Invite codes expire after 7 days. Sitter access ends on the date the owner sets.
• If the only owner deletes their account, the household is deleted for everyone in it.

4Pet health and medication

• Doses appear exactly as you enter them. You’re responsible for entering them as your vet prescribed, and for checking them.
• Reminders and alerts can arrive late or not at all. A phone can be off, silenced, out of battery or offline, or have notifications turned off. Don’t rely on Pawtine as the only reminder for medication your pet can’t miss.
• If your pet seems unwell, contact your vet. In an emergency, call your vet or an emergency animal clinic straight away.

5The free plan

The free plan costs nothing and has no ads. It includes 2 pets, you and 1 other person, the last 30 days of activity and 3 document photos per pet. Vet PDFs, sitter access and late-dose alerts come with the Household plan.

We may change free-plan limits in the future, and we’ll tell you before we do. A change will never lock or delete health records you’ve already added.

6The Household plan

• The Household plan is a subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play and billed to your store account.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, in your store’s subscription settings.
• If we offer a free trial, you’ll be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
• One subscription covers everyone in the household, on iPhone and Android. If the subscriber leaves, the household keeps the plan until the current period ends.
• Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies.
• If the price changes, we’ll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
• Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your store settings.

7Your content

• You own what you add to Pawtine, such as pet details, photos, records and documents.
• You give us permission to store, copy, sync and display it, only so we can run Pawtine for you and your household.
• Only upload things you have the right to share, and don’t add other people’s private information without their permission.

8Using Pawtine fairly

Please don’t:

• use Pawtine to break the law, or to harass or harm anyone;
• try to get into accounts or households that aren’t yours;
• upload malware, or overload, scrape or disrupt the service;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

9Updates to the app

We keep improving Pawtine, so features may change. Some updates are required, for example when an older version can no longer sync safely. The app tells you when that happens.

Beta versions may be less stable than the released app.

10Suspending or closing accounts

You can stop using Pawtine and delete your account at any time in Settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. When it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you time to get a copy of your pets’ records.

11Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Pawtine reliable, but we provide it “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available, free of errors, or on time. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law says can’t be waived.

12Our liability

To the extent the law allows, OneFive Labs isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for harm caused by late or missed reminders, doses entered incorrectly, or decisions about your pet’s care.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.

13Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Country or state. If you live in the EU or UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep the protection of your local consumer laws.

If something goes wrong, please email us first so we can try to fix it.

14App Store and Google Play

If you got Pawtine from the App Store, these terms are between you and OneFive Labs, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its content, has no duty to provide support for it, and, to the extent the law allows, has no other warranty obligation for it. Apple isn’t responsible for handling claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

You confirm that you’re not in a country under a US government embargo, and not on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Your use of the App Store and Google Play is also covered by their own terms.

15Changes to these terms

If we make an important change, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using Pawtine after that, the new terms apply to you.
